The venerable Astatic D-104 "lollipop" seems to be a perennial favorite
among boatanchor enthusiasts.

My mike, which elicits many compliments for its audio, is a Heil Classic. I
use it with my Collins gear. I think both Bob Heil and Joe Walsh (WB6ACU)
use this mike with their Hallicrafters rigs, though. Bob himself could tell
you if you give him a call. He's a nice guy.
