Please join us on Sunday June 6th for the HCI 20 meter Net. This is D Day and we
are remembering sixty years on this date in 1944 when many brave Americans and
allied soldiers put their young lives in harms way to defeat tyrany, rescue
freedom from the jaws of depravity and protect her well being. On this date we
all need to take a few minutes and remember, be thankful and never ever forget
those who gave us our very freedom. Many at the cost of their own life. Freedom
is NOT free! It is lost far easier than it is gained. Let us be ever grateful
and always diligent in our protection of this most precious of gifts one human
can give to another.

If you are a veteran of WW2 and check into the Net, you will receive a special
commemorative certificate from W9WZE.

If you were there, or know someone who was, and have a story about the radios
used then, please join us and tell the tale to today's youth who need to know.

I will be on the air at 12:22 PM EDT, (1622 UTC) warming up the tubes and
dusting off the historical family memories. The pre-Net will commence at 12:45
PM EDT, (1645 UTC) and the Net proper starts at 1:15 PM EDT, (1715 UTC). Come
early, stay late. Share your radio memories with us.

The frequency will be 14.293 MHZ usb +/- for key clicks, mike splatter and the
flood of sensory stimuli as our memories engulf us each in our own way and
submerge us in the lessons of the past that paved the road into tomorrow.

I look forward to hearing a record number of check ins on this very special day
in history. All who check in will receive a special W9WZE commemorative QSL for
a SASE.
