[Hallicrafters] RE: SX-71 "h" meter plate

Lee,
No, I don't have any extra "h"s.  I was fortunate that my SX-71 came with
the proper emblem.  However, it was just a little bit "loose" and the
first time I "played with it to zero the meter it was obvious that it
needed a little "help" as I was afraid it would get "lost". 

Here's what I did.  I removed it (it's pin just pressed into a tab like
collar), took some of the "Coax seal" that I keep here (available at
Radio Shack), made a small bead or ball of the stuff and pressed it onto
the back of the disk.  Then I pressed the disk firmly into place.   This
stuff is kind of like modeling clay, is VERY sticky, stays pliable and
makes a good adhesive for things like this that you may want to remove at
some time in the future. Over two years later it's still stuck in place
and seems very secure!  It's probably be usable to stick any of the S-38
emblems etc into place also (though you may have to remove a tab or
something).
