A little clarification, please.  Are you saying that the connector is 
the same configuration as a standard, 3-prong AC plug the way Tektronix 
did it on their 60's vintage oscilloscopes?  It makes the power cord 
usable as an extension cord and I'm sure many were lost that way.  It 
also makes it relatively easy to find or build a replacement.  That is 
good because most of those original cords have deteriorated to the point 
that they must be replaced.

I have another oddity - an SX-28 with one of those two conductor, 
double-fused "suicide" plugs.  It appears to be original; there are no 
other fuses.  I'm guessing this is a very early SX-28.
