This is a deluxe version of the headset you used in high school language lab.  Califone also sells "non-deluxe" versions of the cans (without the coiled cord) for a few bucks less if you're REALLY frugal.

I've had my Califone headset for about three years now and use them nightly for CW DXing. They sound great and are darn near indestructible.  Plus -- you can change the cord if it wears out.
