[Hallicrafters] Re HT-30 Hard To Find?

It sounds like Hallicrafters did the same as Collins. 
They announced the 30L-1 kilowatt SSB transmitter
(along with the 32W-1 exciter portion only) and even
ran full page ads in the amateur radio magazines and
in the 1956 ARRL Radio Amateur's Handbook!  But, they
never shipped one.  Art Collins decided to change the
nomenclature to KWS-1 (standing for "kilowatt
sideband")!  However, if you look real close in the
first ads for the KWS-1 the unit actually says 30L-1.

Of course the 30L-1 is much better known in its S-Line
linear amplifier configuration.
