I still can't find the problem with my SX-111 calibration signal
oscillator. I have:
1) Switched to a new 6AU6 tube - no effect.
2) Checked the crystal with a signal gen. and oscilloscope - there is a
sharp resonance at 100.23 KHz.
3) Replaced both ceramic capacitors in the osc. module.
4) Checked the values of all resistors in the osc. module.
5) Carefully inspected all connections to the module.
and yet it doesn't oscillate. The voltages I measure at V301 (6AU6)
(Hallicrafters voltage chart are in () are:
p1. 0v (-36v), p2. 3.5v (6.4v), p3. 0v (6.3vac), p4. 6.7v (0v), p5.
41v (66v), p6. 123v (94v), p7. 3.5v (6.4v). Should I suspect the
crystal although it checks ok?
If someone has a SX-111 and can easily measure the voltages I would
appreciate it. Thanks.
