Hi Rich,

Thanks for the input.  I sure would love to hit on the exact reason for the 
more or less unadvertised mod.  I know that Hallicrafters was famous for 
unannounced changes, sometimes in the middle of a run. This explains why some 
sehematics don't exactly match the receiver they were shipped with. It is enough to 
drive one crazy when trying to troubleshoot a problem.
