Why don't you give Chuck Dachis an email and pop the question to him. He has probably seen more SX-15's than anyone else. I often consult with Chuck before I purchase a Hallicrafters set. He is perhaps the most informed Halli person on the planet. Go to his Hallicrafters website and you will find his email address. If you can, send along a picture of your radio.
