I've seen that photo, but I've never heard of such an assembly actually being sold.
There were a very few SR-500 units made, featuring the earlier SX-100, HT-30 and HT-31 amps. One was installed at the Vatican, for instance. And one came up for sale on that internet auction site not long ago. But I think the SR-1000 existed only in the photo studio -- and in the dreams of then-lads like Bill and me.
By the way, it can be argued that the Collins crowd was following Hallicrafters' lead when similar consoles for S-Line gear were marketed a couple of years later....
