[Hallicrafters] Dummy antenna for S40 alignment

One of my antennas is a G5RV. My R-390A likes it for the entire HF
spectrum.
I've put my KW T-match in the line to see if there was any
improvement.....very little......
Most SWL'ing is listening to multi-KW BC stations. It really doesn't matter
if they are 10 or 20db over S-9.......
Serious DX'ing is spending hours (days?) trying to work a new country
through the QRM, QRN or sitting on a DX contest "run-frequency" and quickly
picking calls out of the pile-up to maximize ones score.
