[Hallicrafters] Help with restoring the shine to tuning capacitors

Greetings to everyone,

	I am in the middle of a restoration of an SX-99 Mark 1B. Here is my
issue:

I need a way to clean and polish the variable tuning capacitors of the main
tuning, band spread, and antenna trimmer. The chassis, coils, and
electrolytic cylinder, until I trashed it, please see other email, look
better then new!!! The caps are the issue. Does anyone have a technique,
chemicals, etc that will allow me to restore those variable capacitors back
to their original luster???
