This may be the best approach for the residue on plastic anyone has yet
suggested. Realizing that acid that has eaten into plastic is damage not to be
undone. But I wonder about some of the new porous filling materials? Such as
used for plastic glasses lenses?

Has anyone tried such an approach to restore the smoothness of the surface of
damaged plastic?

Hi Tony et al: My technique for battery acid/corrosion is to use 50/50
Ammonia and water
with a pipe cleaner & an old junk stubby artists brush. Followed by
distilled water rinse using
a clean pipe cleaner followed with hair dryer and a coat of CaiLube L260Np.
