   I've owned several of those generators for years and yes, you should
plan on lubing the turrest assembly mainshafts (there are two) once a year.
The steel shafts go through an aluminum frame casting and they will corrode
and seize if they don't have lube.  Sitting in one position for long 
periods will do
the same thing.  I exersize mine once a week just to keep this from happening.
