[Hallicrafters] SX-110 sideband reception

Using a vague and approximate formula relating to the differences in cost of
goods and wages relative to "then" (1938) and "now", I come up with a cost
of $600.00 to $800.00 to buy that radio today.

While $49.50 doesn't sound like much in 2003, it was two weeks work for a
common laborer, and just shy of one weeks work for a doctor in 1938.

Not an inexpensive radio!

Of course, good radios are not inexpensive today.
