[Hallicrafters] Hamming with a SX-71?

Phil:

How much power are you planning on using?

I used an SX-71 on 40 meter CW back in the 1950's (the fifties were on ALL
the calenders) with no problems whatsoever using an open-frame relay.

There are relays available now with an internal shorting bar that grounds
the RX to ground when in TX mode. Or, use two relays with a shorted
connector, which does the same thing.

I've used both methods recently for both AM operation, using boatanchors,
and EME, using somewhat more modern gear.
