[Hallicrafters] SX42 Filter Choke, help

Hi Brian,

You can find the exact data on the filter choke from a Sam's Photofact.  I 
don't have a copy of that one but I do have the Photofact for the SX-62 which is 
pretty much the same radio - same vintage and general circuit.  Sam's says 
that filter choke is rated at 80 MA, 17 Henry and has a DC resistance of 290 
Ohms.

Suggested replacements are:  Stancor C-1709 (exact replacement) or Chicago 
8120 or Merit C-299 both of which require the drilling of a mounting hole.

I think the 290 Ohm DC resistance is pretty typical for a filter choke of any 
size.
