Thanks for the input on this GT 550 for which I haven't received yet.

Jim, (W5JY) thanks for the website.
After several people informed me that this bandswitch synch link was, I could 
go into that website, and actually see this copper band with the screws as it 
was described.

Not the best setup I feel, but I guess it served its purpose for awhile 
atleast.
