Hi Mark,

Don't feel too bad about thet SX-9 at Dayton. I looked at it for a long
time and it was nice, hed a reasinable price, but the front panel was worn
through to the copper in many places and I didn't feel that the paint could ever be
matched, so I am still looking for one. Also, the seller said that the cabinet
had original paint, bu it was just too good looking for that to be true. The
inside was definately nice, though. I had just bid $600.00 for on in that
infamous auction site and lost, so the price was very attractive. I didn't
feel too bad about it.

I did feel bad about the SX-88 that went for $100.00 the year before, and I
was right there when for fellow was unloading the vehicle. I stepped away for
a minute and when I cabe back, it had been sold!

I recently picked up a very nice 5-T with the "Boy and Key" dial. There were
2 dial versions of this model and this one was the rarest.

I have been collecting for about 5 years and will need to move soon, or build
on to the house. My goal is to have a mini museum with as much gear as
possible actually working, especially the really old stuff.

If you come up with 2 of the really old receivers, let me know. I will more
than likely be interested.

73,

John, W4AWM
