I'm uncertain of the circuit for the RMA dummy antenna specified in the SX-62
alignment instructions. It says "... consists of a 200 mmf condenser in
series with a 20 uh r-f choke shunted by a 400 mmf condenser in series with a
400 ohm carbon resistor" Is it this?
---| |---+-----mmmm------+-----ANT connector 1
|---| |---wwww-----|
----------------------------------- ANT connector 2 and ground
Is that what shunted means -- in parallel? Or does shunted mean the cap and
resistor go from one side of the choke to ground?
In the past I've ignorned this altogether but since the manual goes to such
(ambiguous) lengths to describe it I thought maybe this time I'd cobble one
together. And does anyone know what it does?
Thanks,
Jon, K6JEK
