I noticed an HT-33A on "that place". The price is fairly low, but it
appears to have some changes made. The two tube sockets toward the center of
the chassis are empty holes. Instead of 6 VR tubes, it has 4. It may be
the reflections but it looks like corrosion was cleaned off the top of the
chassis, but again that could be due to photo artifacts.

The plate choke has a brown stain (dust) that appears to have been partially
wiped off and the back of the shell looks rough, but again lighting can play
a lot of tricks. The filament transformer has been replaced. From the
outside the front panel looks good, although the cabinet top has been
repainted (not always bad) It only has a few hours to go

A quick search of Hallicrafters amp* should bring it up if any one is
interested.

Has any one seen an HT33A with only 4 VR tubes and with the two holes in the
chassis like this? Any thoughts? It's still cheap, but farther than I'm
willing to go for what I see.
