[Hallicrafters] HT-37 power xfmr longevity

This may be impossible to answer but I'm hoping one or more of you who have now or have owned an HT-37 transmitter can give me an idea of just how long the "average" HT-37 power transformer can go along doing its thing "safely" before it needs to be re-wound?

The power xfmr (and chokes, too) in my HT-37 is OEM and so far working just fine. The horror stories I hear of the damage that occurs when the power xfmr shorts out, etc. due to old age is my basis for concern. Any info based on good or bad experience would be appreciated. Thanks, Bill, K0JWP
