[Hallicrafters] S-76 tube shields?

Both my early and late S-76 have all sockets equipped for and have
matching shields on all miniature tubes. My service data part # 94X773
from June 1951 shows only 6 shielded tubes with the 6BA6 (V6) being
unshielded. In this version of the manual one will see the six tubes
with an external circle around them indicating shields and nothing
around the 6BA6 (V6).
The Sam's data shows only V7 without a shield not V6.
Like the three different knob sets (no skirts, 1 3/8 inch skirts and 1
1/2 inch skirts) or the regular matching plastic vs. metal "T"
bandswitch knob on this unit there are probably several configurations.
Or, maybe this is just another of the errors that have found their way
into the factory service documentation of many Halli radios.

Subject: [Hallicrafters] S-76 tube shields?
Hello all-
I was wondering if anyone can tell me the proper location of the
tube shields on the small envelope (7 pin) tubes? My S-76 does not have
enough
shields for every tube, but I'm not sure if they all need one.
I can tell from the manual photograph the obvious locations that
have them, but two of the tubes are obscured by other components.
The tubes I can't see in the manual photograph are V7 (6AL5) & V4
(6BA6), do these have shields? Maybe someone who owns another S-76 could
tell me?
Thank you.
Glenn
