Rumors, as yet unsubstantiated, have been heard from generally unreliable
sources, claiming that an unnamed publisher plans to release an annual swim suit
edition of Boat Anchors Illustrated beginning as soon as he gets out of prison
for insider trading violations. I guess those NOS 1L6 for the old Zenith
Trans-Oceanic were hotter than I thought! But I did not realize a Japanese firm
who was producing the modern day version of the old JAN Sylvania 1L6, was
actually selling stock to underwrite their retrograde production costs of the
components from the past. When this individual was tipped off by a renegade
TV-7D operator who had a serious gas problem, he dumped his shares of Bikini
Island organic garden stock and contacted Martha Stewart as to what colors to
make the boxes to hold the tubes so as to be visually appealing to the American
vintage radio population. Supposedly she suggested Radium Red and Near Death
Gray!

The first issue of this forthcoming annual publication promises to have more
curves in it than a Rocky Mountain highway! It is my understanding that the
models posing for the Hallicrafters equipment are all the "better luck next
year" runners up to those females that made the Sports Illustrated swim suit
edition. The poses are said to be provocative, much like the bloated prices
those electronic auctions have generated. Whether these replacement parts are
worth their weight in Bikini Island glow in the dark Lizard lips or not, the ads
may be more exciting than accidentally soldering the fly on your Levis zipper to
the metal top of the work bench! As this publication nears actual printing and
release, I am confident that the ARRL will try to sell advance copies like they
hound you to renew your annual membership five months before it expires.

Join us for the first Summer edition of the HCI 20 meter Net on Sunday June
22nd. The pre-Net starts at 12:45 PM EDT, (1645 UTC). The Net proper commences
at 1:15 PM EDT, (1715 UTC). The frequency will be 14.293 Mhz usb +/- for key
clicks, mike splatter and the electrical crackling in many transceivers from
human neurons trying to imagine how Pamela Anderson looks holding a
Hallicrafters CRX-101 hand held while playing nude beach ball bingo. Now that
static just might be worth listening to!

I hope to hear many of you tomorrow, so be there! It was an absolutely beautiful
day here in Michigan today, there have only been three this year, so remembering
them is not difficult! Bright sunshine, 82F and a light breeze. More of the same
for tomorrow. Sigh. Maybe I will go to the beach, just to practice my Bingo
skills ...
