Probably receive far less interference from overpowered, over compressed and
improperly tuned stations. Additionally, less power and reduced bandwidth,
should equal less qrm/qrn.
I hope somebody talks, otherwise the band will be silent with a few thousand
lurkers listening and listening and ...

I shouldn't have any trouble getting on 60 M with my trusty TR-7 and
Hertz antenna, but I think I'll lurk with the rest of you for now
anyway. The 50 Watt restriction doesn't bother me; I have never felt
the need to run QRO. What does bother me is that only USB is allowed.
If it were possible to run CW we could accommodate many more users.
For those benighted individuals who think CW is useless because *they*
never use it, a couple of those frequencies could still be reserved for
USB so they don't have to endure A1. Sadly such a change probably makes
too much sense to receive serious consideration, but just stop and think
how sweet 30 M is without the voice modes! Anyway, I really wonder what
you can do with 50 W on 60 M that you couldn't do at least as well on 40
or 80.
