Yo Lt. Colonel Fred!
Like don't forget that it is W8DBF who owns the HCI name and web site. He is the
FCC trustee of the call of the late William Halligan, Sr., like the dude who
founded the Halllicrafters Co. That is why the call sign appears in the url that
is his registered domain. While Al Waller, K3TKJ, the King of all dudes,
provides space on his super servers for the web site, it is W8DBF who like makes
it happen. Of course, there is also you, KA1DGL, the man who does the web site
wonders and writes the code that keeps those servers singing a happy Halli tune.
Without W8DBF, that web site would not be a memory, it would never have even
existed. Keep that in mind Mr. Fred, as it is too blasted hot in FL for me to
hop on down and stick a hat pin through your feedline from that attic antenna to
the HT-37. All I don't need is to end up glowing in the dark!

To ALL lovers of glow-in-the-dark radios!
The Hallicrafters Collectors International web site has some exciting new stuff
on it, so see if you can be visitor number 53,000 by checking it out at:
http://www.w9wze.org.
"Blast From the Past" this month features the year 1946.
Thanks for all the inputs for the new "RESTORATION TIPS" section. KEEP THE TIPS
COMING! New this month are:

- Killing Off Cigarette Odor by KA1DGL
There are two new sections that also need YOUR articles:

- Hallicrafters in Vietnam
I know there are a bunch of vets out there with stories from WWII and Korea. So
send them on in to webmaster at w9wze.org.
There are also regular updates of material by Duane Fischer (Frogzilla and
Shortwave Listening Columns), Daniel Sampson (English Broadcasts to North
America), Craig Carter (For Sale/Swap), as well as Eugene Rippen's new list of
Amateur Radio Boatanchor Nets.
The HCI web site is non-profit and provided as a resource to everyone by Al
Waller, K3TKJ, of "QSL.NET" and "QTH.NET" fame. Thanks Al, and thanks to all
those who submitted new material. Keep it coming and keep them glowing!
