Congrats on the fine job, Mike. I didn't go to the extent of "hiding" the
electrolytics. My five new Sprague "Atom" lytics are neatly routed and tie
wrapped in place. A number of Sprague Orange Drops surround them, as do the
occasional new sandstone power resistor. I guess I'm not a stickler for
museum-quality originality. Although I would never upgrade any part of the
receiver with solid-state devices, in my opinion, new parts (caps, resistors,
etc) look just as attractive in the underside of a "working radio" as the
old, original ones.
