It's a black undercoat with a grey topcoat. I swear to God, the panel is 
GREYISH-BLACK in appearance. And it looks original.

The PS is ensconced in the bottom of the big speaker cabinet along with one 
12" woofer and three 4" tweeters. Two separate impedance matching xfmers are 
used. The SX28 goes into a RS 70V line transformer for a 8/500 ohm match. The 
779 goes into a Hammond 119DA for a 8/600 ohm match. I use monster cable for 
the speaker outputs and a 1:1 balun for the BC779 antenna input. I found that 
in SW Listening comparisons the BC779 has a slight edge on the SX-28 in terms 
of overall fidelity.
