Actually, most of the SX-28's I've seen have black panels. Not sure what
you mean by the black/grey. The textured surface can reflect light in
such a way that some photos might give you that impression. I have 3 --
can't be too careful nowadays. Two are black, one is grey, but a
battleship grey -- a rackmount version that came from the Canadian Navy,
I think. Most photos I've seen show the radio in black.
A lot of later Halli's -- like the SX-42, 62, etc. have two-tone cases
where the bottom half is black with just a touch of metallic, but I don't
think they used that on the '28's.
Hey -- the way it sounds, if it were purple it would be good enough. ;-)
