[Hallicrafters] Leaky capacitors

Happy Valentines day to everyone. Now that I've managaed to dislodge the candy hearts and marshmallow arrows from my Hallicrafters SX-25, I've noticed that I have a couple of old capacitors that are leaking an "oily" like substance. For those of you who do not know me, I'm relatively new to collecting Hallis (May 2002) and my knowledge of radio circuitry is limited, but expanding on a daily basis. These capacitors are the plastic type and I remember someone, long ago, mentioning that some caps held a PCB like substance that is toxic. E-gads, no wonder my wife was glowing in bed the last few nights, must have been something that I did not understand about "get your hands off me". Makes me think of the time we both saw the movie "You Light Up My Life (Wife) with Debbie Boone. At least we don't need a "night light" in the bedroom anymore. Aside from that illuminating aspect of our relationship, the 25 is nearing "fire up" time. I need to replace the electroyltics, then I can put the variac to work. Is there anything that I should now about removing these "Chernobyl like" capacitors and should I take special precautions in disposing of them. Thanks in advance, Mike
