[Hallicrafters] Cold storage for vaccum tubes

Should I bring my 100th's and 250th's in out of the cold? Does prolonged 
exposure to moderate cold temperatures cause the filament structure to become 
brittle? Case study, I brought in two NIB RCA 808 triodes from the cold, let them 
sit for a day, carefully brought the filaments up to the correct AC level and 
within one hour of testing the filaments they had disintegrated and fallen to 
the bottom of the tube.
