[Hallicrafters] Hallicrafters wrinkle paint finishes

Greetings everyone

    I have given up any hope of ever trying to duplicate the Halli wrinkle finish. I purchased paint from Mike Shelton and entertained all of the helpful hints that many of you had spoken of. The end result was a really faint wrinkle on the finish, in fact one might even refer to it as "orange peel" look from respraying another coat while the first one was still wet. So, I will ask for no other hints as I'm sure it was me that screwed up. I would like to ask if anyone has gone to the hammertone finish. I had thought of doing this and then topping it off with the correct Halli color. Any suggestions.
