[Hallicrafters] SX 42 or SX 28

I was delighted to pay only 200 dollars for an SX28A two years ago. It was
working poorly but was complete ... though it needed a lot of cosmetic
restoration, recapping, etc. I have been following various posts
concerning the SX28 (or A) and it seems to me that this model is becoming
much sought after because of its classic 'boatanchor' good looks even though
there are many other BA's of similar electrical design that work just as
good or better. Gary's once in a lifetime 20 dollar bargain is not
something you should expect to duplicate. I would expect to pay 200 to 400
dollars for one in fair condition today.

Good luck,

Don K7FJ
