[Hallicrafters] sx-28/sx-28a prices

Just to stir the pot a bit.
What in the sam hill is happening on OCD-bay, I've seen the sx-28 prices go 
nuts even for that dusty old one with the missing knob.
One went for over 1100 and an sx-88 over FOUR GRAND!!!!!!!!!!
Is this nuts or am I missing something-----Parallel universe anyone?
