Hi Dan,
The SX-117 file is in pdf format and you can print directly from it.  If
you mean the "revised schematic" pages that are in gif format, you
should use a graphics program such as IrfanView which is specifically
designed for viewing and printing graphics files such as jpg, gif, etc.
You only need the Adobe Acrobat or DjVu viewers for files that are in
those compressed formats.  You can download a free copy of IrfanView
from http://www.irfanview.com/
When you have the graphics file loaded into IrfanView and are ready to
print, select the option "stretch to fit page."  You will get the best
rendering possible given the limitations imposed by the scan itself.

This is what I did as far as the manual for the SX-117 that is too large
I downloaded the Adobe latest free version 5.0 and it has the copy
graphics mode (previous versions don't have this feature) so I copied
and pasted each page to Microsoft Word and it pastes in a very printable
size.  In fact I had to make it a little larger for better reading.  Dan
