If you use UPS from the US **INTO** Canada, you will be socked with LARGE
customs brokerage charges by UPS for doing nothing according to what I've
been told by Canadians. Think long and hard before you use UPS going that
direction.
It's always best to use regular Parcel Post or similar from the US into
Canada. However I have no idea what you do with stuff that's too heavy. I
wonder if there is a trucking line that services Canada. I wonder if
Grayhound or equivalent has service across the border? How about FedEX?
I've started using their ground service in the US and their rates are less
than UPS and my experience has been that the handling is gentler than UPS.
