I picked up the SR-2000 and two spare 8122's this weekend. What was
included was the SR-2000 transceive unit, the PS-2000 power supply, and the
HA-20 remore VFO. All connection cables were there and there was a fairly
good copy of the manual. The schematic is OK but I may be looking for
a better copy. I was supposed to get a hand mic but somehow this was
missed.

Its wired for 220V so I unplugged by Henry and after carefully hooking up
everything I plugged it in. The receiver works well with no intermittent so
I think any problem may be in the cabling as several suggested. I am going
to take it to a local (with better eyesight HI) for a check out soon.

Since I don't have the mic I will probably just test it out slowly and then
test it on CW and make sure the high and low voltage is correct. I will try
to get on the 20 and 40 meter nets once I get the mic. I looked around and
I have several mics but none are wired for the two pin plug the SR-2000
requires. I have a Shure 444 and may plug that into a Vomax processor I
have and then wire the output to match if I find one of the M2 plugs in my
junk box.

The overall condition outside is OK. The front panel and dials are 8 out of
10 and all knobs and switches match. The top of the ring on the transceiver
unit has some paint missing and the power supply and remote VFO need
cleaning. I looked inside transceiver and it looks fairly clean.

More later...
