[Hallicrafters] capacitor replacement on selectivity switch of SX-100

Bob,

I removed the "knob" (you need a 5/16" hex) and took off the nut from the front panel.

This makes it easy to get at the switch.

If you look closely the caps that are fed through the centre of the switch, they have wires coming
back the the side the "black beauties" started from...

So I just soldered all the caps around the edge of the switch, the new caps are much smaller than
the "Black beauties".

While you are in there, replace the resistors.

Ordinary metal film resistors work fine, the IF is only 50kHz here.

I have done this on two SX-100MkIIb and an SX101A (same circuit essentialy).

One you have the switch in your hand it is no big deal.
