[Hallicrafters] capacitor replacement on selectivity switch of SX-100

Has anyone on the list had experience with replacing all those capacitors,
"6 in all,"  attached to the selectivity switch on an SX-100 Mark I
receiver?  I've saved the hardest ones until last I guess.  There are two
black beauty types buried on the inside of the switch.  I was wondering if
it would be easier to unloosen the switch from the chassis in order to
replace these or try to tackle it while it's in place?  Thanks for your
