[Hallicrafters] Hallicrafters SX-28A parts needed

"I just purchased a SX-28A from a fellow subscriber and had him ship it via 
UPS. I got it this morning. Some hair-brained idiot at UPS tossed it. Opened 
it up to find the cabinet totally destroyed "

Somebody did NOT follow the suggestions offered in this group on how to 
properly pack and ship the radio.  The result is what happens.  You have to 
expect UPS to behave that way and get it packed accordingly.  Insist on it 
or plan on a parts radio.  I've shipped and received heavy stuff properly 
packed.  It does get through without damage.  And it's  often enough to know 
it wasn't a fluke.
