Hi All,

Being I started this mess I will make one final comment. First everyone was
very helpful or at least were trying to be. Information that I new was 100%
incorrect I disregarded and that which I was not sure of I put into a might be
helpful file.

This was a very helpful email. Having worked my full live in the
manufacturing arena I fully understand the problem with getting different
vendors, let alone the same vender, giving you the same color match or for that
matter anything the same from batch to batch. This point along is the FIRST
REASON that I will have all my future paint mixed locally with an old paint
sample from what I am going to paint.

Very useful comments on the premixed paint. It was a noble attempt at trying
to get a paint into the hands of the inexperienced and I expect for most worked
quite will but in my case was almost a total disaster and would have been if I
had been totally inexperienced. The problem here is I did use the paint
shortly after I ordered it but let it sit around for at least 6 to 9 months.
This is the SECOND REASON that I will have all my future paint mixed locally
with an old paint sample from what I am going to paint. If I buy locally my
paint will not have the thinners and hardener added so if I decided that I will
not use it for 6 months then at that time I can add the thinners required for
the temperature of the day.

I always thought that it was enamel but this is the first time I have seen it
in print.

Lynn, Rob and Mike are really trying to do a good job and I respect them for
taking a task like this on. I do wish them well. I am not saying that I will
never buy anything from them again but I do expect that most of my paint
business will be local.

Like you Duane I believe this should put the subject to rest or should I say out
to dry.

Thanks and hope everyone was learned something,
Ron WA0KDS
