[Hallicrafters] Lost Ham

Greetings to the nets:
As some of you may recall my inquiry on these nets to locate a ham in
Alberta Canada whom I had purchased a Hallicrafter receiver from. Well the
outcome was very positive and humbleing. Within the same day, I received
several offers of help and one ham even called me at home to give me the
young mans phone number. But the neat part was.....everyone that replied had
a positive attitude about this request. We were all looking to find out if
some ill had befallen the young man I purchased the radio from, not if you
got stiffed do this or that.  I thought that was the real American Way.

By the way the difficulty was that the e-mail systems are really great but
not infallable. He never got my messages due to e-mail address problems and
he was on vacation. Have been in contact and we are back on track.

I want to thank, those who replied, for their willingness to help. Well
done.
