I checked in two different RCA tube manuals.  Although
I originally thought that the 50L6 was a 50 volt
equivalent of the 6L6, it definitely is not!

The 25L6 and 50L6 are the same tube except for the
heater voltage.  However, the maximum voltage for the
50L6 is only 200 volts and the 6L6 goes up to 350
volts.  Depending on the class of service, the 6L6 can
put out well over 20 watts and the 50L6 is rated at
only 3.8 watts.

Both the 25L6 and 50L6 refer to the 50C5 for operating
characteristics as was pointed out by someone.
