OK, I can admit when I'm wrong. I went by my old (1953) ARRL Handbook that I
use for some older tubes. Same base diagram, etc. (7AC). However, I went to
the web, and checked the "modern" way and found.
"Unlike most series of tubes with the same letter designation and numbers,
the 12,25,35and 50L6 tubes have lower
ratings and a smaller physical size than their big brother the 6L6. The
slightly lower heater rating of the 35L6
explains it's somewhat reduced ratings."
