However, for their time, the SR-75 was an innovation! 
The Hammarlund HQ-105 was designed for the CB crowd
with a single frequency crystal controlled 5 watt
input AM transmitter that would work on 10 meters as
well.

Remember, back in the 1950s, a lot of new novices cut
their teeth on the S-38, Heath AR-3, etc.!  They
weren't exactly "state of the art", but they did work!
