[Hallicrafters] Saturday HCI 40 Meter Net Live Audio

This means, that the Sunday HCI 20 meter Net can be heard now, just as the
Saturday 40 meter Net has been being heard. Today I spoke with K4BOV on air and
he advised me that over ten people around the world were tuned into the HCI 40
meter Net. Including stations in England and Australia. It is set up in such a
way that they can listen and chat among themselves at the same time. Over a
hundred exchanges today! A very handy means for those who are out of the range
of the Saturday HCI 40 meter Net

Again, my personal thanks to K4BOV, Stu Morrison for donating his time and
talent to help all the Hallicrafters devotees, as well as all of the vintage
radio brotherhood. (Sisterhood too, if we have any. Ladies?)

You now have three options: check in live and in the flesh (with Amateur TV, be
sure to wear clothes!), via the web radio from the HCI web site and the special
chat rooms offered by K4BOV.

Subject: [Hallicrafters] Saturday HCI 40 Meter Net Live Audio

For those that may be outside the listening range of the Hallicrafters
40M Net, we
stream the live audio via the Galaxy-WRL Yahoo Group chat room.

For the last six months or so we have been streaming the HCI audio via
the
Swan-Net Yahoo Group chat room; but, we now have two receiving stations
and can do both the HCI and Swan Tech Net at the same time (HCI in the
Galaxy-WRL chat room and the Swan Tech Net in the Swan-Network chat
room) since these two nets sometime overlap.

Periodically, we have been streaming live audio from the 20M HCI, Vintage
Sideband and HeathKit Nets on Sunday via the Swan-Network chat room; but,
from now on, the live audio from all nets of interest other than the Swan
Nets
will be streamed via the Galaxy-WRL chat room.

Anyone in a chat room during live audio transmissions, can converse with
others in the room via the keyboard.

This system of getting the 40M net activities out to the world, so to
speak, has
been particularly helpful to several of our Swan radio enthusiasts in the
UK and Australia that would otherwise never receive the 40M signals on
Saturday
afternoons.

The chat rooms are located at:
