Ed and John -
Both your answers were quite helpful and gave me the perspective I needed. This includes how Halli competed with other companies and, in essence, if someone were shopping back then and could not afford a Drake, whay hallicrafter might they buy. As I explore vintage equipment it appears more and more that the C-line twins are very hard to beat - just tough to learn enough to not buy stupidly!!!!
