[Hallicrafters] Halli equivalent of Drake C-line twins?

I don't think Hallicrafters had a serious contender in the separates line
after the SX-117 and HT-44. I have used those and the SX-146 and HT-46 pair
and the latter did not measure up. But, by that time Hallicrafters did not
really address that market very well, in my opinion.

I really wonder what Hallicrafters could have done with a separate receiver
and transmitter to match the capability of the SR-400/SR-400A product. By
then, however, they had their eyes on the military market and we were
forgotten.
