I am moving from a 10 room farm house to a 6 room cape so it is anchors away.
I have the following swap to offer the group:
SX-28 in working condition. It is all there and used every day. The case has
been painted black with white fins and has been reenforced to fix a warp. I
also have another case that has not been painted. Also included is an R-46
speaker also painted black.
ALSO: A working SX-25 in fair condition. While not as good as the 28 it is
also used daily. It is missing the bottom plate, but comes with an R-46 also.
I really don't know how to rate these radios for collector standards, but I
will try...the 28 is a 7 1/2 - 8 if a 10 is a totally restored unit and the 25
comes in around a 6.
That is 2 radios and 2 speakers.
What I want: A state of the art receiver...no 15 year old dust collectors
please. Something in the catalog...used but current. Or a smaller transceiver
with general coverage receive....TS-570 or an Icom 746 II or similar would do.
We can discuss shipping, but can meet someone in northern New England (Boston
north to Bangor). Hope you all have a good Christmas and Santa brings you what
you need to finish off that project.
