[Hallicrafters] Tube life question

It has been my experience that they last for decades. 
However, like anything, various tubes "age"
differently, even of the same type of tube.  

If you go back and substitute each tube that you
replaced, I would bet that only 1, possibly 2 are bad.

I don't usually recommend replacing all of the tubes
in a receiver.  Doing such can result in the need for
a complete alignment.  Of course in a simple receiver
like the S-38, this is not that involved.
